A Note

Hi RIRC,

Here's wishing the Secondary 2s (Batch 60 cadets) best of luck in your upcoming Malaysian Montage! Enjoy yourselves, sleep earlier (i.e. don't stay up playing cards all the time; you need your rest) and do help your sick/injured batchmates (especially those who are holding the First Aid Kits, you have a responsibility to take care of your friends). Hope to see you guys around soon (there's 6Pak coming up anyway)!

Apart from this, we'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate the following people for passing their Standard First Aid (SFA) test last Friday (21st May):
Justin Tan
Foo Jia Ming
Sathya Selvakumar
Lim Zhi Jie
Deepanraj

Secondary 1s, do bear in mind that you will be working towards your SFA at the end of the year too - do keep your FA standards up to scratch!

In addition, we'd like to shout out a big THANK YOU to the following people who have dedicated their time on Saturday to man RIRC's Open House booth:
Darryl Lee
Justin Tan
Ryan Lim
Chua Ching Wai
See Wei Yang
Ryan Chiong
George Lin
Colin Tan
Ng Zheng Wei
Chan Hui Jun
Daniel Siew
Jason Chia
Tan Yan Tyng
S. Saravanan

...and, last but definitely not the least, our Open House ICs Ho Yu Xuan and Feng Yu Hui. We appreciate your hard work in preparing the booth!

Best of luck in the week ahead - holidays are coming!

All the best!

IPC Scores

Hi all,
Here are the raw scores from IPC!
Omega: 346
Iota: 545
Epsilon: 390
These scores are added directly to the Platoon Scores on the left.
Dont be discouraged if your platoon is not the first, 6Pak carries much more points than IPC, so race hard in camp and your platoon will become the first platoon!
The first platoon after adding scores obtained from 6Pak will earn themselves one week off from training in term 3, so do your best!

New Unit T-shirt Design

Hello everyone

June Camp is on 7-9 June. (Mon-Wed)

We want to show you the new RIRC tshirt design, since our Phoenix design has been around for at least 5.5 years.

The teachers wish that we have a huge Red Cross sign so that when we go do first aid duties in our unit tshirt, people will be able to recognize that we are from Red Cross, even from afar.

And of course, who wouldn't want their shirts to be nice and wearable outside trainin?

So combine Big RC logo and cool t-shirt and "can wear to Orchard", here's the design draft 3.

Front

Back

Feel free to give comments, or suppliers that you know will provide great prices.

FYI, it will be dryfit, and the RIRC logo in front will be sewn. Other designs will be printed.

June Camp 2010

Hi all,

Please be informed that the dates for June Camp have been confirmed to be 7 - 9 June.

Sec1s and 2s, there will be a Sec3 calling you today, should you not be available during that period, tell him the reason.

If you did not receive any calls Sec3s, please send an email to rircb58@googlegroups.com.

Please note that only overseas trips and other confirmed camps (you can be excused for Church Camps, but not Merit CCA camps since RC has a higher priority over merit CCAs) are valid reasons to not be present for camp.

For clarifications, please feel free to send an email to rircb58@googlegroups.com.

Just to give you a heads up, we will be racing in various parts of Singapore, and implementing the new platoon system into this camp onwards. It will be a camp which we have never ever conducted before in the past years of RIRC, and the experience will definitely be awesome. :)

Oh yea, we're not staying in school. XD

All the best for your Mid Year Examinations!
