Submission of Supporting Documents

Hey RIRC,

For a while now, we have noticed that many of you are consistently unable to submit your supporting documents for latecoming and absence.

This is a reminder that you should be submitting your supporting documents before the training itself, unless it is for medical absence, in which case it must be submitted by the week.


There will be consequences for absences without valid reasons.
More information can be found on the RIRC treasure chest on the blog, under Admin Instructions.

We hope that this does not happen again.

World First Aid Day 2016

Hey RIRC,

The Singapore Red Cross will celebrate World First Aid Day by launching the psychological first aid programme and setting a Singapore Record by attempting to have 500 people perform a large armsling and head bandage first aid demonstration. There will also be booths about first aid and the importance of learning it.

Date: 10 September 2016 (Saturday)
Venue: Tampines Hub
Address: 25 Tampines Street 82, Singapore 528988
Time: 8am to 12.30pm
Attire: School Red Cross T-Shirt & Shorts
Things to bring: Water Bottle
Refreshments will be provided.

As such, we have selected 16 people from batch 66 and 67 to attend the event. Please tell Zhan Bo (93593258) by Friday 1200 hrs if you really cannot make it, and be prepared to provide reasons and supporting documents. Please spread the message to those who cannot reach Facebook/the RIRC blog.

NDP 8 Aug 2016

Hey RIRC,
Here are the details for NDP on Monday.

• Time: 6.45am (for one rehearsal)
• Venue: Bishan Stadium 
• Attire: RCU

Note: EDIT: ALL cadets are to report at 6.45am in your RCU. There are no exceptions.

EDIT: After the parade, all Sec 2s will be FAiders for TnF and are required to report in unit tee and PE Shorts. All other cadets (Sec 1s) can change back into house t shirt.

This post is for cadets selected for the GMW on 13th August 2016.

Date: 13 August 2016

Time: 8.30am to 6.00pm

Lunch will not be provided, cadets will be given time to take their lunch outside the school and will be allowed to leave upon completion of the workshop modules and passing their accreditation.

Please remember to have breakfast before reporting.

Venue: Hougang Secondary School (2 Hougang Street 93, 534256)

Attire: Mufti (School T-Shirt/ Red Cross T-Shirt with dark coloured track pants and school/track shoes)

For DM, please bring:

1. Writing materials (pencil case + writing paper/ exercise book)

2. Water bottle

3. Money for lunch

4. BFA certificate or SFA card

5. DM Bronze (DM-1C-4) & DM Silver (DM-2C-3) notes

6. Completed and signed DM silver monitoring forms*

For FA, please bring:

1. Writing materials (pencil case + writing paper/ exercise book)

Track and Field Yeoman Services

Hey RIRC!

The school has requested for 6 cadets from Red Cross for each of the Track and Field dates, on 22th July and on 27th July. Cadets will be accepted on a first come first serve basis, and priority will be given to the Sec 2s. As heartfelt cadets will not be able to attend the Track and Field heat dates on 22th July, priority will be given to the S2 heartfelt cadets on 27th July.

The heats on 22nd July will start at 3pm while the heats on 27th July will start at 3.45pm (during training time). The end time is unconfirmed.

Heartfelt Workshops 2016

HEARTFELT 2016 is here! HEARTFELT is a aesthetics-focused HQ competition that promotes the cause for humanity and service-oriented problem solving. This year there are 3 categories: Pulse (Dance), Stage (Drama) and Challenge Shield (presentation).
