BFA Test 15th April 2016

Please be reminded of your Basic First Aid Exam on 15th April (tomorrow).
Do gather at the canteen entrance by 2.15pm to board the bus to Red Cross House. Please note there is no return transport.

Open House Booth 2016

Hi Sec 1s 2s and 3s

RI Open House will be on the 14th of May from 9am to 4pm, and this year's theme is 'Keep Our Colours Flying'. We really need help with setting up the booth (13/5) at the Raja Block Foyer from 2.30pm to 4pm and also for you guys to come at different shifts during the event itself to manage the booth. Central Sec 1 Orientation

Hi Sec 1s,

Date of event: 9 April 2016 (Saturday)
Time: 0900hrs – 1700hrs (Registration begins at 8.30am)
Venue: Ang Mo Kio Secondary School (6 Ang Mo Kio Street 22, 569362)
Attire: PT-Kit (Unit Tee and PE Shorts with covered shoes)
Things to bring: Water bottle, money for lunch, personal medication (if any).

Please be kindly reminded to be punctual (by 0830) and have your breakfast before the event. You will be given time to eat lunch outside of school. You will be guided to the nearby hawker centre by Volunteer Instructors.

Please also be reminded to bring your consent forms if you have not handed them in on Wednesday and pass them to Ms Wan or any other teachers there.

Lunch: Lunch will not be provided; hence schools are to make their own arrangements for lunch if necessary. Some stalls in the canteen will be open for purchase of food on that day

Hi cadets,

All RIRC members (Sec 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s) should attend this event
Especially for the graduation batch and the incoming batch (B67 and B64 respectively)

There will be a carnival where cadets can find out more about what other units in Singapore do. Take the time to visit these booths (as we will not be setting up one).

After the carnival, there will be a ceremony for initiation/graduation/other awards - and most importantly the EUA. So do come down to support our unit.

The packlist and various other materials such as the consent form have been uploaded to the treasure chest as well. Remember to label your belongings properly with reference to the labelling guide, also found in the treasure chest.

The camp trailer will be uploaded at a later date.

Additionally, please be reminded that the parents' letter attached to the consent forms only apply to Batch 67.

March Camp 2016

Hi cadets,

Please note that March Camp 2016 will be a 2D1N camp.

The reporting time and dismissal time for Batches 66 and 67 are:
Reporting: March 15 (Tuesday) - 7.30 a.m.
Dismissal: March 16 (Wednesday) - 6.30 p.m.

Details will be released during training in a further date.

SRC Flag Day Street Collection 6th March

Hello guys,
Singapore Red Cross will be organizing its street collection on 6th March. There are 2 shifts available, 10am to 3pm and 2pm to 7pm. For the 1st shift, you should be given time to eat lunch halfway through your collection.

Team Raffles Ceremony 2016 Procedures

Hello cadets,
Team Raffles Ceremony (formerly known as Team Raffles Day) will be held this Monday, 1st February 2016, during assembly period.
As part of this year's ceremony, please wear your unit tee together with your school uniform shorts/pants throughout the entire school day. There will be no need to wear the school tie throughout the entire day.
At 12.30 p.m., please report to the Raffles Square and sit accordingly to the placards. We will lead you to the hall once the ceremony begins.
Also, please familiarize yourselves with the Raffles Dynamite cheer, as we will be doing it together with a few other CCAs during the ceremony itself.
Training will take place as usual on Monday afternoon.

30th January 2016 Gold Modular Workshop

Hey guys,
This post is for those who signed up for GMW.
Date: 30th January 2016 (Saturday)
Time: 8.30am to 6.00pm
Lunch will not be provided, cadets will be given time to take their lunch outside the school and will be allowed to leave upon completion of the workshop modules and passing their accreditation. Cadets are reminded to have a heavy breakfast, as lunch time will be slightly later in the afternoon at around 1.00 pm.
Venue: Fuhua Secondary School (Address: 5 Jurong West St 41, Singapore 649410)
Attire: Mufti (School T-Shirt / Red Cross T-Shirt with dark coloured track pants and school/track shoes)

1. Writing Materials (Highlighters and markers are recommended. Useful for group discussions)
