Notebook Design Competition

Hi guys,
As mentioned before, we are trying to create a notebook for everyone of you to own and use. This notebook will include information like the calendar of events, Badges and Ranks, and other important information. This notebook will also be for all of you to use throughout your journey in RIRC. Thus, I am holding a competition to decide the cover page of the notebook! Here is your chance to leave your mark in RIRC!
Details:
Submission Date: Sunday, 13th December 2200 
LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED
Format: Whatever software you used to edit, AND a JPG or PNG.
Artwork should be 2 A5 sized (can be connected or separated)

From the submissions, we will be choosing the top 3-5 artworks. These works will earn 500 points each for their platoons. Thereafter, suggestions will be given to the artist, and the final artwork will be put to the popular vote.

Promotion Ceremony 18th Nov 2015

As the RIRC promotion ceremony 2015 is a part of the upcoming November Camp, we invite your parents to come down for the event.This ceremony formally recognizes your capabilities and is a significant part of your journey in RIRC, and we hope that your parents can share this moment with you. Gold Modular Workshop 7th Nov 2015

Hey guys,
There will be a GMW this Saturday. Here are the details.
Date: 7th November 2015 (Saturday)
Time: 8.30am to 6.00pm (for FA/DM/RCK)
1.30pm to 6.00pm (for YABP)
Lunch will not be provided, cadets will be given time to take their lunch outside the school and will be allowed to leave upon completion of the workshop modules.
Venue: Admiralty Secondary School
Attire: Mufti (School T-Shirt / Red Cross T-Shirt with dark coloured track pants and school/track shoes)
Things to Bring (for FA/DM/RCK):
1. Writing Materials
2. Water Bottle
3. (Gold) Notes
4. Money for lunch
5. Completed and signed Silver Monitoring Form / SFA
6. Empty (Gold) Monitoring Form

Y2 & Y3 Batch Games First Aid Duty Sign Ups


Hello cadets,
As you know, your Year Heads and Level Committees have planned batch activities as part of your post-exam activities. They require First Aiders for the Y2 and Y3 Batch Games.

As such, we will need 4 Y2s (certified with SFA) and 8 Y3s to take part as First Aiders.

Details for Year 2s:
- Date: October 27, 2015
- Time: 8am - 1pm
- Assembly venue: RI Y1-4 Canteen
- Attire: Any school-related attire

Details for Year 3s:
- Date: October 27, 2015 (school hours)
- First Aid Duty will function on a rotation basis
- Other details to be confirmed later

Platoon CIP 2015

Hey guys,

Exams are over, schools back! If you recall, only Iota's platoon CIP has been carried out. For now, as the LP comm is going through B65's LP Concept Plan, do take this weekend to review your Platoon CIP proposals.  The NCOs will be going on to help you.  I hope that we can conduct Epsilon's Platoon CIP around November 7th, and Omega's around November 21st.  Thus, please send the revised Platoon CIP proposal to the NCOs and VIs by this Sunday 25/10/15 2200.  Work together in your platoons and lets do a good job! (We also don't want to keep sending the proposals back to you guys for improvement)

Inter UG Archery 22 Oct

Hi Cadets,
Inter UG archery and dragon boating is on Thursday, 22 October. However, in view of the haze situation, dragon boating has been cancelled. So do take note of this update, Brian, Cheng Kai, Hean Zhor and Zheng Wei. Hence please do not stay back for the dragon boating event.

As for archery, the event will still take place in school and please report to the stadium steps by 7.30 a.m. and please be punctual. The cost of the archery is $10 which has been subsidized. As for the things to bring, please bring a water bottle, the consent form (attached below) and the $10 cost (preferably in cash). Lunch will not be provided after the event so if you wish to have lunch immediately after, bring extra cash for lunch.

Thank you and try your best for the archery. But do have fun while doing so.

SANA course 19 October 2015

Hello cadets,
On 19th October, there will be a SANA course held near Compass Point Shopping Centre. SANA stands for Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association, and this course is necessary to obtain the SANA badge for you to pin onto your RCU. Some of the year 2s have gone for this course, so you can ask them to see what's its like.
One change from last year is that the full-day session has been split into two half-day sessions. So you can choose to go for either one.
We can send a maximum of 5 participants for each session, so register fast if you want to go. If you are interested, contact Sun Han sir before 11/10/2015.

Time: 8.30am to 1pm OR 1.30pm to 6pm

Sports and Wellness FINALS

This post will be regarding Sports & Wellness Finals.
For Category 2 participants, congratulations for making it to the top 10. Details of the Prize Presentation Ceremony are below.

Venue: Bedok Community Centre, Hall

Time: 1pm to 4.45pm
Attire: School Uniform (Participants for Captain’s Ball can remain in their PT Kit)
Things to bring: Water Bottle
**lunch will not be provided
For Category 1 participants, the date and venue of the Finals is the same. Note that Reporting Time is 10am instead of 1pm and Attire is Unit Tee & PE Shorts. Dismissal Time will remain the same and lunch will be provided.
For the 2 First Aiders, please report at 10am too. Here are some further details.
Reporting attire: Mufti (Unit Tee and Track pants with covered shoes)
Things to bring: Water Bottle

Personal Medication
Certificate of participation will be given to cadets who offered their service as First Aiders on both the district games and finals.
To all other cadets, you are also welcome to come down to support our team. There are interesting programmes lined up for you such as the DARE Programme (Free 45 min AED & CPR Workshop) and the World First Aid Day Carnival. You can also watch the games and cheer for your unit-mates.
Consent forms for Category 1 and 2 participants as well as the First Aiders will be released at a later date.

SRC Humanitarian Exhibition 2015

Hello cadets,
As part of the upcoming Humanitarian Week, Singapore Red Cross (SRC) will be organizing the Humanitarian Exhibition. The details of the exhibition are as follows:
"Together For Humanity - The Red Cross Story"
Date: Tue, 1 Sep 2015 to Mon, 14 Sep 2015
Time: 10.00am to 9.00pm
Venue: The Promenade, Level 9, National Library Board

Admission is free, Registration is not required.
This event is not compulsory, but do drop by if you are free/live close to the place to learn more about, and appreciate the impact of our Movement's collective efforts globally, and also SRC's Services to the local community.
The Red Cross stands today as the largest and the longest-lived humanitarian movement in the world endowed with a distinctiveness which derives from its fundamental principles, its values and modes of operation.
SRC, with its contribution over the past 65 years, has a special place in local history and stands as a leader to communities and organisations with humanitarian objectives.
Co-presented by the SRC and the ICRC in commemoration of their 65th and 150th anniversaries, this exhibition takes you on a journey through time, demonstrating the evolution of humanitarian aid and relief efforts locally and globally - amid conflict and suffering.
On the global level, the exhibition also showcases the aid brought to the people affected by armed conflict as well as disasters in conflict zones, by the ICRC.
