May/June Hols Events

Hi all!

Here's a summary of the 3 awesome events lined up for you during the May/June Holidays! :

26 May (Saturday) - Performance Night
Meeting Place: 10am @ Raja Block
10am-5pm - Ice breakers with other schools and Dance Training
(If you have to leave halfway/come late, inform Darryl Sir during training next week)
6.30pm-9pm - Actual Performance Night

If you're asking why dance?

There will be a total of 6 dance crews battling, each crew consisting of Sec 1-3s from RIRC and cadets from other schools, and most likely your platoon points are at a stake (each platoon split into 2 groups)
So do your best during this Night!

More details will be given on Wednesday's Training next week.
(If you can't come for the entire event, inform Darryl Sir as well, as attendance is compulsory)

30 May (Wednesday) - 1 June (Friday) - RIRC June Camp Himara
Meeting Place: 8am @ Raja Block

This will be a very important camp for everyone as you will the rich history of RIRC since 1952, and most importantly gear yourself up for the challenges in Semester 2. It's always been Iota winning June Camp, so lets see who will win this year.

The inaugural Passing Out Ceremony will be held on the last day of June camp too, where we will witness the handing over of positions from the Sec 4s (B60) to Sec 3s (B61), and reveal your new leaders, from Platoon Mentors to the unit Chairperson.

Camp Briefing will be held during next Wednesday's Training.
(If you have to leave halfway/come late, inform Samuel I/C during training next week)

9 June (Saturday) - 11 June (Monday) - Ace Star Camp
Meeting Place: 8am @ Raja Block

I know that you're already going for RIRC camp, and may not wish to go for another one, but this is a camp you would not want to miss.

Trust me, many Red Cross units from other schools in Singapore are dying to join this camp, and this opportunity is given to you. Only 12 sec 1s, 2s and 3s are invited to participate in this camp. As I've said, 4 badges await you, and you will be 'competing' with 9 other schools who will be taking part in this camp too. The programme has been lined up to show you how the subjects in RC are intertwined and how the World of Red Cross is a lot bigger than you think. These are activities that you will never encounter during your regular unit trainings or your unit camps, as most of the activities are planned by VIs and myself.

Don't worry if this camp is new to you, because you will be grouped amongst your RI people. In any case, this camp will be a great exposure for you, and it'll open your eyes to the world outside RI, and who knows, you might become a stronger, much more confident person than before!

We have about 5-8 slots left, so inform Jian Xing I/C during next training if you're interested to join!

Use your June Holidays well guys! See you next training! :D
